Guinness International Blues on the Bay Festival – May
Warrenpoint comes alive every May with the internationally acclaimed Guinness International Blues on the Bay Festival—a week-long celebration of blues and jazz music set against the stunning backdrop of Carlingford Lough. This iconic festival attracts world-renowned musicians and thousands of visitors from across Ireland, the UK and beyond.
The Whistledown Hotel is proud to be one of the town’s main live music venues throughout the festival, hosting performances from top-class acts and creating an electric atmosphere right by the sea. The festival kicks off in style with a live broadcast of the BBC Radio Ulster Ralph McLean Show from the hotel itself, featuring exclusive artist interviews and live sets.
Music fills the town from Thursday through to Bank Holiday Monday, with The Whistledown offering a packed programme of events, late-night sessions, and standout performances. The celebrations wrap up in soulful style with the much-loved Blues Monday Club, making the most of the long weekend.
